Abacus CPAs, LLC is excited to announce Tracie McConnell as the recipient of the 2024 Abacus Values Award for People Focus. Tracie is a Project Management Specialist in the Department of Excellence.

Tracie is known for her ability to make others feel valued and for her commitment to excellence. She is proactive in her approach to accomplishing tasks which elevates the success of the project and those around her.

“The People Focus Value speaks directly to our ‘why,’ which is people deserve better,” Tracie said. “I strive every day to make sure what I’m doing for my teammates and our clients supports that. I’m surrounded by great examples to follow and that spurs me to look for ways to stay focused on people through every project, task, and challenge.”

The Abacus Value Award for People Focus recognizes an employee who displays effective communication, respect, compassion and cooperation. Tracie was selected for her dedication to providing the Abacus Experience to both clients and employees.

“When I learned I had received this award, I was surprised and honored because the firm is full of people-focused teammates,” she said.

Tracie is looking forward to continuing to achieve excellence with her coworkers.

“This is a very exciting time to be a part of the Abacus team. I’m looking forward to helping flesh out the process changes required by our exponential growth,” Tracie said. “I love that we all get to be part of shaping the firm’s future.”

The Abacus Values Awards were created in 2020 to recognize individuals who fully exemplify Abacus Values in how they live, work and build relationships with clients and coworkers. Each recipient demonstrated exceptional understanding and achievement in client support and professional relationships.

Candice Alcantar, Client Support Supervisor in the Transportation Department, is the recipient of the Abacus Ownership Award which includes the attributes of Pride in Our Work, Desire to Succeed and Loyalty.

Christina Cooper, Coordinator in the IT Department, is the recipient of the Abacus Integrity Award which includes the attributes of Responsible, Trustworthy and Honest.

Ashlyn Ballard, Senior Marketing Coordinator in the Department of Excellence, is the recipient of the Abacus Client Service Orientation Award which includes the attributes of Effective Communication, Innovation, Sense of Urgency and Quality in Work.

Austin Bordovsky, Accountant in the Tax, Audit, & Accounting Department,  is the recipient of the Abacus Positive Attitude Award which includes the attributes of Coachable, Cooperative and Believing the Intentions and Abilities of Others are Good.
