Getting Ready for Your First Day
Authorize Background Check
An e-mail will arrive (most likely in your junk mailbox) from Alliance. You will need to click the link, enter your current address, and sign off saying you authorize them to run a background check on you. All offers of employment at Abacus! are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates and on all employees who are promoted, as deemed necessary.
Get to Know You Survey
Please fill out the following survey prior to your first day so we can get to know you. Your answers to this survey will be used to introduce you to your new co-workers on your first day and to create a website bio for you.
You will also receive two emails with links to assessments (Kolbe and Clifton Strengths), please complete those before your first day of new hire onboarding. We use this information to create your name plate for your desk. If you do not receive links from Kolbe and Clifton Strengths, please email HR@AbacusPro.com.
Bring on Your First Day
Your unexpired I-9 documents. You can bring one document from list A OR one document from list B and one from list C. You don’t need to fill out the forms, just have the acceptable documents ready.

Arriving on Your First Day
What to Expect:
- You will arrive at 8:45am your first day. Onboarding will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT (10:00 a.m. ET).
- Our office is usually pretty comfortable – but consider bringing layers if you often get cold.
- Your first day we will take you to lunch.
- Dress is business casual.
- Office building doors unlock at 8 am and lock at 5 pm.
- You will be issued a key to access the building at any time.
- We have water, tea, coffee and a small assortment of pop. If you prefer a reusable container, you are welcome to bring it.
