Get to Know Levi
Levi Kamer joined Abacus! in October 2019 as a Tax Manager. In his role, he focuses heavily on tax planning, using the firm’s interim financial statements and client payroll records to draft tax return projections and meet with clients to discuss strategies for reducing or deferring taxes. He also manages clients’ estimated quarterly tax payments, helping them stay ahead and avoid tax-time surprises. When tax season arrives, Levi ensures the accurate preparation and timely delivery of returns, while fielding a wide range of tax and financial questions from clients throughout the year.
Levi earned his Bachelor’s in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Morehead State University, then went on to earn his law degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. After passing the Kentucky Bar, he ultimately pursued a career in public accounting and obtained his CPA license. He began his career at Mountjoy Chilton Medley in Louisville, then joined Deming Malone Livesay & Ostroff (DMLO), where his interest in public accounting was reignited. He gained significant experience in both tax and assurance before moving on to Patterson & Company CPAs, where he led the tax department prior to joining Abacus. Professionally, Levi is passionate about helping clients meet their financial goals and staying ahead of tax liabilities as their success grows.
Outside of work, Levi enjoys spending quality, low-key time with his family. He likes working on home improvement projects and building new skills in that area. He also enjoys kayaking, hiking, and traveling when time allows.
