Val Brinkley joined Abacus! in May 2024 as a Senior Client Accounting Specialist in the Louisville office. In her role, she manages full-cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for multiple clients—primarily in the restaurant industry—and provides guidance and support to the Client Accounting Specialists on her team.Â
Val earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, majoring in Marketing with minors in Accounting, Economics, and Mathematics. Before relocating to Louisville in 2024, she spent nearly a decade working in the nonprofit sector in Florida. She is passionate about providing excellent service to clients and helping them achieve financial clarity and success.Â
Outside of work, Val enjoys watching football (Go Chiefs!), traveling, exploring Louisville’s restaurant scene, and relaxing with her wife and their three cats. What she loves most about Abacus! is the opportunity to help small businesses thrive while continuing to grow her own career.Â
