Get to Know John

John Helms III joined Abacus! in October of 2006 and then again in August of 2016. He is a partner at Abacus CPAs, LLC and Abacus Business Consulting, LLC. John oversees all departments and specializes in Fraud, Tax, and Accounting work. He has over 10 years of experience in providing accounting guidance and solutions to individuals and small businesses in Southwest Missouri.

John is a proud 2007 and 2008 graduate from Missouri State University where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. He received his CPA license in 2010 and his CFE in 2012. In 2014, he was awarded the Department of Defense award for Outstanding Support of Military Personnel. John and his wife, Angie, have two children, Samantha and John IV. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, Cardinals baseball, and Green Bay Packers football.
